Sea Breeze Poppy Parker

"Sea Breeze" was the table centerpiece doll for Integrity Toys' Tropicalia convention held in Orlando, Florida in late Sept. 2012.  She had the "Holiday in the Hamptons"/"Endless Summer"/"Dream Teen" eye screening with eye shadow in blue and tan, and right-glancing dark green eyes.  Her lips were nude.  She had applied eyelashes.

Her outfit included a wide-brimmed straw hat with a green band; pink flower earrings; green sandals; four simple bracelets in green, white, pink and blue; and a pretty blue skirted shirt over knee-length pants with a seahorse print.

The owner pics of this doll are by Robyne of "Desperately Seeking Dolls" and are used with permission.

Hot Dots Poppy Parker

"Hot Dots" was a gift set from Integrity Toys' Tropicalia convention held in Orlando, Florida in late Sept. 2012.  She came with a swimsuit as well as a casual outfit.  She had the same skin tone as "Sunshine Games" Poppy Parker ... slightly darker than the more commonly used "Caucasian" skin tone, but not as dark as "Sweet Confection."

She had blonde hair swept in an updo. Her eyes were blue and right-glancing and had the same screening used for the convention's table centerpiece doll "Sea Breeze."  This was also the screening used for "Holiday in the Hamptons" and "Endless Summer," among others.  She had applied eyelashes. Her lips were a medium/dark pink and her eyebrows brown.  Her eyeshadow was very natural-toned.

Her main outfit had a matching shorts and jacket set, both done in white fabric with orange, pink and light blue polka-dots.  She also had a cropped orange top to wear under the jacket; a matching beaded necklace and bracelet set; orange earrings; orange sandals; a light blue belt and white-and-light-blue tote with a handle.  Her one-piece swimsuit was hot pink, and it had a matching wrap skirt to go with it.

Lemon Crush Loni Lawrence

The debut appearance of the character Loni Lawrence was at Integrity Toys' Tropicalia convention held in Orlando, Florida in late Sept. 2012.  She was distributed free to convention attendees as a table give-away.  She had light blonde hair with right-glancing blue eyes, pale pink eyeshadow and coral lips.  She had applied eyelashes.

She came with a simple, basic outfit of yellow accented with pink-and-white checked fabric.   She had yellow sandals, pink hoop earrings and a simple pink bracelet. She did not come with a purse.

Loni shares the same face sculpt as Integrity's "Breakfast at Tiffany's" dolls (Holly GoLightly) from late 2011, but those dolls had a different eye screening.

2012 Workshop Poppy Parker

This Poppy was the hair workshop doll for  Integrity Toys' Tropicalia convention held in Orlando, Florida in late Sept. 2012.  She had red eyebrows, with applied eyelashes and green, forward-facing eyes.  She had the same eye screening as 2012's "She's Not There."  Her lips were pink.  She came nude, with a stand. (The Poppy in the photo has been redressed.)

Her hair was a pleasant, neutral shade of red and hung down her back in loose waves.

Blog updates!

It's been a while since I last updated this blog, so I thought I'd work on it today.  I just updated the eye chart with six new dolls (including two of the 2012 convention Poppys)!  I also added live pics of "My Generation" Chip, "She's Not There," "The Happening," "Sunshine Games" and "Day Tripper," and updated the arrival dates on each listing.

Lilac Frost Poppy Parker

"Lilac Frost" was a W Club exclusive for 2012.

She had purple eyeshadow over forward-facing green eyes.  She shared an eye screening with the "Forget Me Not" trio from 2010.  The colors of her makeup ended up being more intensely-colored in the production doll than they looked in the promo pictures, seen here.  The lips in particular were much darker in the actual production doll.

Original price (for W Club members): $110.
Ship date: November 2012.

She's Not There Poppy Parker

Original price: $99
Limited edition of 600
From the mainline 2012 collection
September 2012

"She's Not There" had very short blonde hair cut in a bob.  She had forward-facing blue eyes with a neutral color palette that included eyeshadow done in shades of blue-gray, and nude lips.  She had applied eyelashes.  Her eyebrows were brown.

She wore a Mod-style black mini dress with white striping.  She wore red fishnet pantyhose, and white go-go boots with a stripe of black down the fronts.  She came with red sunglasses and black-and-white striped dangly ball earrings. Her white purse was outlined with black, and had a wrist strap on one side.

She also came with a matching white Mod-style coat-and-hat set that was the mirror image of her dress.  Instead of black with white striping, the coat was white with black striping in a pattern that matched the dress.

She came with an extra pair of hands with painted-on white "gloves" on them.

When the first pictures of this doll were revealed, Poppy Parker fans immediately saw a resemblance to '60s model Twiggy, leading to the doll being called "the Twiggy Poppy" occasionally on doll forums.

Sunshine Games Poppy Parker

From the mainline 2012 collection
August 2012

Her skin was a slightly-tanned skintone darker than the regular Poppy Parker line, but lighter than "Sweet Confection." (Half-way between Integrity's "Caucasian" and "Latino" skin colors.)   She was the first Poppy Parker to have this slightly-tanned skintone.  It was the same skintone used on "Jett" from the Dynamite Girls line.

She wore a pink-and-lime green striped 2-piece bathing suit.  Accessories included a pink-and-white sun hat; white sunglasses; white shoes; pink and white purse with a handle and white hoop earrings.
