2013 News

I've started updating some of the listings with "live" pics of the new 2013 dolls.  I just updated the Poppy Parker Resource with new, live photos of "To The Fair," "Pretty in Polynesia," and "Sweet in Switzerland."  I'll be working on doing new photos of India, Spain and Japan soon, as well as updating the descriptions of each.

I'll also be posting about each one on my DollyPanic! blog.

Hugs!

The 2013 main line Poppy Parker dolls were debuted in a webinar event on March 30, 2013.  It featured a set of five dolls that represented different countries/regions: India, Polynesia, Japan, Switzerland and Spain. The multi-ethnic theme was reflective of the overall theme for this year's Poppy collection:  The 1964-65 World's Fair held in New York City.

Japan had left-glancing purple eyes with applied eyelashes and pink eyeshadow.  She had a single-winged eye screening with bottom lashes.  Her lips were a strong pink.  Her hairstyle was a platinum blonde updo and her eyebrows were light brown.  Like "Sweet in Switzerland," she had the pale "Japan" skintone.

She wore a pink floral print kimono.   Accessories included pink shoes with bows, white tights, simple pearl earrings and a simple white clutch purse.

She had long, wavy raven hair left in a loose style.

Her outfit was a pale blue, lavender and white floral print one-piece bathing suit, with a separate wrap skirt over the top.  She had lavender sandals and a matching clutch purse, and a short, Asian-inspired royal blue coat to wear over her outfit.  She came with a white flower in her hair, a gorgeous blue-and-gold bead necklace, and two bracelets: one gold and one blue.

Her blouse and skirt were attached to each other as one dress, not separate pieces.  The blouse was light blue with a white polka-dot overlay, with a gathered neckline and short puffy sleeves.  The white overlay was not removable from the bodice underneath.  The light blue circle skirt was lined satin, and fell to mid-thigh.  She had a separate, removable corset-laced white belt around her midriff.  She came with a white fur hat, a white muff for her hands, white tights and a blue cape-style coat with collar.  She was the first Poppy to come with ice skates.

She did not come with earrings.
