Updates! Finally!

It's been a long, long time since I'd updated this blog!  Sorry it's been so long.

I've added all the new 2014 dolls.  On top of that, I've put a search bar on the right-hand side of the page, to make it easier to look for a specific doll.

I'm afraid I will no longer be updating the eye chart.  There have been so many new eye screenings added since last year that it's now become too confusing, even for me.   There are now several dolls in the 2014 collection where I can't figure out whether they're using a new eye screening, or just one of the older eye screenings.  Ack!

Hugs!

Glamorous Darling Poppy Parker - IFDC exclusive

IFDC convention exclusive for 2014
Original price: $175
Limited Edition of 300
July 2014

There were three Poppy Parker dolls produced for 2014's IFDC convention: a blonde, a brunette and a redhead.  They sported new eye screenings that had never been used before.  They also used a modified Poppy Parker body: the torso and arms were the same as the regular body, but the feet had been changed to be high-heeled.  As a result, the feet will fit into Dynamite Girls shoes, but not the usual Poppy Parker shoes.

After the convention, a small number of these dolls were offered in a lottery to W Club members.

Joyous Celebration Poppy Parker

W Club exclusive for 2014
Original price: $120
Limited Edition of ?
Expected shipping date:  Fall 2014

Joyous Celebration was a club exclusive released for the fifth anniversary of the Poppy Parker line.

She had dark brunette hair in a tight braided bun on top of her head, and used the Caucasian/FR white skintone.  Her eyes were blue and left-glancing, with golden eyeshadow and applied eyelashes.

She had similar coloring and the same eye screening as the Bergdorf Goodman Poppy ("Fashion's Night Out") from 2010.  This was probably intentional, as the Bergdorf Poppy sold out fast and became one of the most sought-after Poppys of all time, commanding extremely high prices on the secondary market.  (Over $1,000.)  Fans had been requesting a Poppy similar to Bergdorf for years, and it seems that Integrity Toys responded by producing Joyous Celebration.

She came with long white gloves, elaborate rhinestone dangle earrings,  a rhinestone bracelet, a pink clutch purse and pink pumps with bows on them.

Sebina Havoc: Mistress of Disguise

Part of the main line release for 2014
Original price: $120
Limited Edition of 700
Summer 2014

This doll was part of a set released in 2014 with a spy movie/TV show theme.

This was a highly unusual doll for the Poppy Parker line, because it came with two heads, one with the Loni Lawrence sculpt, and one with the Poppy Parker sculpt.  The Loni sculpt was first used by Integrity Toys for a line of Breakfast at Tiffany's dolls as the character Holly Golightly, but later found life within the Poppy Parker line.

The Sebina Havoc doll had a special neck knob that Integrity Toys called "the Quickswitch System,"  which allowed the doll to switch heads easily.

The back story behind this doll was that as an actress, Loni was playing a character called Sebina Havoc in a spy thriller, and needed to disguise herself ... so she disguised herself using Poppy's face.

The Poppy head had silver hair, grey eyes and silvery eyebrows.

Like the other characters with the spy theme, she (they?) came with a gun.

Sebastien Havoc: Brother in Arms

Part of the main line release for 2014
Original price: $120
Limited Edition of 700
Summer 2014

This doll was part of a set released in 2014 with a spy movie/TV show theme.  This was one of the secondary characters in the spy line, and uses the Francisco sculpt on the FR Homme body.

The character is named Lex Lawrence for the Poppy Parker line, with a backstory that he is the brother of the character Loni Lawrence.  He has the Caucasian/FR white skintone.

Like the other characters with the spy theme, he came with a gun.

This was the first use of this head sculpt for the Poppy Parker line.

Jolie James

Part of the main line release for 2014
Original price: $120
Limited Edition of 350
Summer 2014

This doll was part of a set released in 2014 with a spy movie/TV show theme.  This was one of the secondary characters in the spy line, and uses the Colette sculpt on the Poppy Parker body.  The character was given the name Jolie James for use within the Poppy Parker line, but her "spy name" was Penelope Chase.  (Before 2014 this sculpt was simply called "Colette.")  This was the first use of this head sculpt for the Poppy Parker line.

Like the other characters with the spy theme, she came with a gun ... this time in pink!

Agent Kimiko Gunn

Part of the main line release for 2014
Original price: $120
Limited Edition of 700
Summer 2014

This doll was part of a set released in 2014 with a spy movie/TV show theme.  This was one of the secondary characters in the spy line, and uses the Ayumi 1.0 sculpt on the Poppy Parker body.  The character was given the name Tina Tanaka for use within the Poppy Parker line.  (Before 2014 the sculpt was simply called "Ayumi.")  This was the first use of this head sculpt for the Poppy Parker line.

She had the "Japan" skintone and applied eyelashes. Like the other characters with the spy theme, she came with a gun.

Spy-A-Go-Go

Part of the main line release for 2014
Original price: $120
Limited Edition of 800
July 2014

This doll was part of a set released in 2014 with a spy movie/TV show theme.   She had the Caucasian (FR white) skintone.  Her eyes were blue and right-glancing, with bold blue eyeshadow.

She came with a metallic gold coat set, with a '60s party dress on underneath.  The set came with a beret-style hat, golden boots and a golden purse.

She also had a metallic gold gun, two gold bracelets and gold sunglasses, but turquoise earrings and a ring to match the turquoise in her dress.  There were a lot of extras with this doll!  ... Most of which were in bright metallic gold.

Integrity Toys did a larger version of the same coat for one of their 16" Tulabelle dolls released in 2014, with the back story that Tulabelle inherited the coat from her grandmother Poppy!  The Tula was called "Front Row."
